About the Guyana Mission Network
The Guyana Mission Network is a program of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 700 Snelling Ave S, St. Paul, Minnesota 55116 USA. GMN provides financial support for pastors and other church workers and seminarians and projects of congregations and the wider church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Guyana. We invite persons to make contributions to the Guyana Mission Network. Contributions are tax deductible.
We invite you to send contributions payable to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church with a note in the Memo line saying "Guyana," and send it in U.S. dollars to Guyana Mission Network, 1079 Goodrich Ave., Saint Paul, MN 55105-3135. If contributions are sent from outside the U.S. they may be drawn on an international bank provided they are in U.S. dollars.
We also provide news and information about the work of the church in Guyana, about individual laypersons or church workers, and news about significant matters that are happening in Guyana. If we have your email address you will receive periodic newsletters. If you do not have email, we will send some newsletters by postal mail. Send us your email address please! What contributions support
We also receive funds to support projects and/or ministries in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Guyana which donors designate. Examples of this support include:
- Parsonage and Church renovation
- Support of community outreach work of some of the parishes
- Theological and biblical study resources for those studying for the diaconate in Guyana.
- Supplementing of ELCG Pastors' salaries
- Sending Bibles for the Christian education department of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Guyana
- Youth camp support

The Service Book and Hymnal: We were also responsible for the editing and publishing of the Lutheran Service Book and Hymnal that is being used in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Guyana since 1993. We have recently taken on repair of a few of the hymnals. They take significant wear in the tropical Guyana climate.
